During the months of July and August, the Gourette resort offers a varied summer program around nature and the mountains.
Between environmental education, fun experiences et sensory immersion, the nature activities and entertainment in Gourette are designed for young and old, beginners or the curious. Whether you are with family, friends or alone, immerse yourself in a preserved natural world through supervised activities and activities to be experienced independently.
Family & children's activities
Join our nature guide and discover the secrets of mountain wildlife, flora, and ecosystems. Educational workshops , themed walks , and nature observations —each activity offers an opportunity to experience the mountains with curiosity and enjoyment.
→ Marmot Watching – Duration 1 hour 30 minutes – Children aged 7 and up must be accompanied by an adult – Registration at the ticket office. A short walk to observe marmots up close with binoculars in their natural habitat. Between whistles, games, and little dives into their burrows, discover their secret lives.
→ Rally “Succeed in my hike ” – Duration 30 min – Children accompanied from 7 years old Registration at ticket office Help the marmot Biscotte prepare her hike by answering the riddles.
→ Memory of the Anglas mines and picnic by the water – Duration 4h30 – Difficulty level: easy – elevation gain + 100 m – 3 km – (picnic not included) Registration at ticket office On the ancestral tracks of shepherds, a walk through pastures and remains of huts.
→ Edelweiss Encounter – Duration 2h00 – Difficulty level: easy – elevation gain + 100 m – 1.5 km – Registration at ticket office Go in search of the snow star, emblem of mountain flora, this flower is very present in Gourette.
→ Meeting at the mountain lake – Duration 1 hour – Meet on site at the lakes
Accessible to all in 1/2 hour on foot with the Plaa Ségouné chairlift, the Plaa Ségouné lakes are an unmissable spot in the Gourette mountains for anyone wanting to discover the wild high-altitude lakes nestled in the heart of the high peaks of Gourette.

Looking for freedom? Self-guided activities are also available throughout the summer: treasure hunts , discovery trails , nature challenges … so many ways to experience a special moment in the mountains, at your own pace.
→ Sensory trail – Free access – accompanied children from 3 years old Stimulate the senses by walking barefoot on different natural textures while having fun.
→ Mountain Animal Safari – 30 minutes per course. Set off in search of mountain animals. Two courses where life-size figurines are hidden. Using a map, find the animals hidden on the board. Two possible courses.
→Friends of the Pyrenees Duration 2 h
Equipped with a map, find the spots to answer the riddles and a crossword hunt.
→ Terra Aventura – Duration 2 hours Geocaching Trail. A connected treasure hunt where you will have to solve riddles.
Practical Info
Starting point
The meeting point for the activities is in front of the Le Cairn mountain snack bar on the Bézou plateau. Those feeling energetic can walk there (250m elevation gain – approximately 1 hour) or take the Bézou gondola lift (check fares).
How to Register
The entertainment and activities offered are free.

In case of bad weather, some events are postponed or cancelled (real-time information at the ticket office).
