Along the way, you'll discover the remains of an old shepherd's hut, a testament to the area's long history of shepherds grazing here.

Start time
From the arrival point of the Bézou cable car, follow the red markers towards the shepherd's hut opposite. Continue along the track to the right, passing through a gap. The route forks to the left, runs alongside a small cliff (former sheepfold), and leads to an old and authentic stone shepherd's hut, a remnant of the huts of the past.

Pic de Bareille
The path then veers right, climbing the grassy slope through large boulders to a small pass. You then reach the top of a small summit overlooking the Bézou plateau, with a panoramic view of the Col d'Aubisque. Descend along the grassy ridge towards Lac de Bézou.

Water retention
Follow the reservoir and then return to your starting point, passing the mountain restaurant.
