Start time

The Ski Area offers 3 hiking routes for families on the Bézou plateau, including the Panoramique de Bézou route which is a 2.7km walk with only 92 m of altitude difference. It is accessible by the gondola of the same name (Bézou) which is open in July and August. Leaving the cable car which takes only 3 minutes (you have saved yourself an hour of walking from the bottom of the station), turn your head slightly to your right, you will be at the foot of the imposing massif that is the Pic de Ger (1m) recognizable by its large inclined slabs, and on your left the Pène Médaa (2916m). You will turn left and go straight up to go around the left of the solid cabin with the wooden front.

2

Panoramic view of the Aubisque

We also invite you to climb a little higher to the small hill above the cabin, which will take you 10 minutes more to have an overview of this plateau. You can go back down to the left following the clearly visible ski slope, to return to the right of the cabin, go around it, continue straight ahead, to enter the woods. But before entering... you can stop and enjoy the lovely view of the mountain opposite, offered by the natural site of the Col d'Aubisque with its line of ridges, its valleys where herds of sheep graze, mares or cows. You can now continue towards the woods, follow the main path which goes down.

3

basin and arrival

The path will gradually emerge from the woods until you exit completely. You will find yourself on the north shore of the basin which forms an artificial lake but in which you will not be able to swim because normally it is one of the water reserves for snow cannons during the winter season. Walk along the basin then return to your starting point, passing the mountain restaurant
