A day to better understand the Pyrenean Mountain Dogs
Indispensable to pastoral life, livestock guardian dogs play a vital role in defending herds against predators. But their presence in the mountains also raises questions for hikers.
This day is the perfect opportunity to better understand their behavior and adopt the right reflexes during your outings in nature.
On site, throughout the day

Demonstrations and meetings
Two sessions will allow you to attend demonstrations led by a canine technician:
- 1st departure 10h00
- 2nd start 13h30
👉 Duration of the intervention between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes
👉 Walking time (depending on the location of the herd): 15 to 30 minutes
These special moments will allow you to observe dogs in a real-life situation with a herd, to understand their role and to ask all your questions to passionate professionals.
